Olamide Try To Promote The Illuminati Idea...
Blood Flow In His Eye
Nigeria’s local rap sensation Olamide is known for dropping huge Yoruba line in his rap, so far he has been able to westernize and blend his Yoruba lyrics into hip hop beats creating an eclectic rise in the music industry as well as a large fan base especially on the “street” where he claims he grew up, but looking at his background and his sudden rise to fame, I am left in awe at his new video.
Car Burnt
The new Video comes has a huge surprise to many industry pundits, after dropping the song “Voice of the street” which talked about his rise to fame and his no nonsense attitude to come and stay in the industry, the video surpassed expectations, coupled with his illuminati agenda to become the most successful rap act in the industry, Olamide is indeed on his path to become the Illuminati of rap in Nigeria.

The video was directed by MattMax and as usual, the theme of the video was set in an energetic upbeat pace of the ghetto, the first scenes looked more of an international music video with many emphasis on the illuminati logos and slogan, many shots were taken of the Catholic church set against a background of angry youth destroying a car, Olamide led the way holding up a baseball bat with a look that he’s indeed in charge of things, followed by scenes of Olamide in an abandon gent (restroom, toilet)dropping his lyrics and destroying whatever was in his way, all in all this video would remind you of Rihanna, Jay Z and Kanye West’s Run this town video.

A large graphics of the video shows quality editing, attention to graphical details and a good selection of costumes which better interprets the idea of the voice on the streets anthem. Many respect should be given to MattMax, the director, he certainly did a good job overall with this video, Cinematography, Casting and Costumes, Lighting and Directing were so good and I must warn other video directors in the industry, Olamide’s Voice of the street video is bound to change the face of the industry and this one would certainly take home all the awards soon, however the video did not live up to expectation in its conclusion as Olamide tried to promote the Illuminati idea, an ideology which is not well received in the Nigerian society, we can only hope this would not take off the shine of this video, however we would rate this video four stars.
Watch the video again....!!!
